Simple Foot Care Routine for Sandal-Ready Feet

Whoever said "winter is the best time to prepare your feet for sandal season" was definitely onto something. With the cold weather comes dry skin, and with dry skin comes a greater risk of cracking and peeling when you finally make the switch to sandals. Treating your skin now allows time for your skin to heal. Here are some simple steps you can take now to make sure your feet are in tip-top shape for summer.

  1. Mod Pod Relax

Start your foot care routine with a relaxing foot soak. This soothing foot soak will help to relieve any aches and pains, leaving you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.

Relax contains:

  • Epsom salt to soften rough, dry skin and reduce aches and pains
  • Lemongrass essential oil, nature’s anti-inflammatory, to remove impurities and detoxify the skin
  • This product is loaded with fungus fighting powers. We’ve packed both Tea Tree Oil and an antifungal medication called Clotrimazole to treat and prevent skin infections such as athlete’s foot.

Instructions:

Add Relax to a large bowl or bucket of warm water. Use one tablespoon per quart of water. Soak feet for 20-30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

  1. Mod Pod Scrub

After a relaxing soak, give your feet a good scrub. This finely milled salt scrub will exfoliate dead skin cells and leave you with silky smooth and soft skin.

Scrub contains:

  • Coconut oil to hydrate, protect, and smooth skin
  • Salt/sugar to exfoliate dead skin cells
  • Avocado oil to calm itchy skin and replenish dry skin

Instructions:

The shower is the perfect time to scrub your feet and get rid of thick callouses. Just apply Scrub all over, once in a day (or every other) for softer skin with no more rough spots!

  1. Mod Pod Heal

For those really thick and hard to get rid of callouses, Heal will be your best friend. ‘

Heal contains:

  • Lemon essential oil to kill bacteria and exfoliate dead skin cells
  • Tea tree and eucalyptus essential oils have antifungal and antibacterial properties to help prevent any infections
  • Beeswax to lock in moisture
  • Urea is a keratolytic agent. This means it breaks down the protein keratin in the outer layer of your skin. The action can help reduce dead skin buildup and get rid of flaking or scaling skin and minimize callouses.

Instructions:

Apply heal to those rough, calloused areas on your feet twice a week for softer, smoother skin. For best results, use with Mod Pod Hydrate.

Bonus: you can use Heal anywhere on your body that has drier skin (avoid your face)!
