Dr. Jamie Settles Carter has always been committed to her small town roots and dedicated to helping others gain the quality care they need, both in and out of the city.
Her mission is to treat every patient with the same dignity, compassion, and kindness she would show her own family. She takes pride in making each patient feel unique and valued, ensuring they never feel like “just another number.”
Many patients travel from across the country for Dr. Carter’s compassionate podiatric care. With her approachable demeanor and knack for simplifying complex medical issues into care plans, she has earned the trust and admiration of her community.
Since becoming a co-owner and partner at Lexington Podiatry, the practice has gained recognition from prestigious publications like the Wall Street Journal and Southern Living Magazine. Dr. Carter has also received numerous awards, including Top Podiatrist in Lexington and Best Podiatry Clinic, alongside various local and national accolades.

Dr. Carter is double board certified, with extensive training in podiatric medicine, biomechanics, orthotics, pedorthics, pediatric podiatry, and regenerative medicine.
While she is certified in all areas of podiatric care, her passion lies in conservative treatment for musculoskeletal conditions. Whether chronic arthritis, acute tendonitis, or painful ingrown toenails, Dr. Carter is dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes.
She combines advanced therapies, such as MLS pain lasers and platelet-rich plasma injections, with traditional practices to create comprehensive treatment plans. Outside of her career, she is married to her high school sweetheart, Jody, and is a busy mom to three: Madison, a gymnastics enthusiast, and her boys, Carson and Dylan, who excel in various sports. Understanding the demands of a busy life, she emphasizes the importance of keeping her patients active.
