Maybe we should amend the phrase “pain in the butt” to “pain in the ankle.” After all, if your backside hurts, you can usually function normally with just a bit of discomfort when you sit. But if your ankles hurt, that affects just about everything you do from walking and exercising to sleeping and even sitting down comfortably.
Ankle pain can be caused by quite a few things:
- Achilles Tendinitis
- Ankle Instability
- Ankle Stress Fracture
- Arthritis in the Ankles
- Peroneal Tendinitis
- Sprained Ankle
Oftentimes, severely rolling your ankle can have more long-term effects than a clean break. Watch our video in which Dr. Freels discusses ankle sprains and the severity of them. She explains how to identify, avoid, and treat ankle sprains.
