While still in high school, Corey Thweatt, PTA began his career in physical therapy as a PT Tech and developed a love for the growing field. This sparked a passion and pursuit of physical therapy as a lifelong job
Corey attended the West Kentucky Community & Technical College where he first earned his Associate’s Degree in Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant, graduating in 2009.
He then continued his career at Mid-Continent University where he pursued a Bachelor’s
Degree in Business Management. Upon completing his Master’s Degree Fall of 2015, he
received a Master of Arts in Youth & Family Ministry from Southern Baptist Theological
Corey began his career as PTA right after graduating with his associate’s degree. He has
worked at many different settings over the course of the last seven years, including rehab, SNF, ALF, outpatient, and inpatient settings. Corey began his career with Professional Rehab Associates (PRA), PSC, a rehabilitation company with a long history of serving central Kentucky, in May 2016. He is currently serving as a PTA and Director of Rehab Services over the Lexington and Paris clinics.
Corey is proud to join Lexington Physical Therapy, along with Dr. Freels, Dr. Ellsworth, and Casey Meyer, right here within Lexington Podiatry where the commitment to exemplary patient care and efficiently returning patients to their prior level of function are shared equally. He is excited to expand his patient treatment to the Lexington community with the strong partnership that has been created with the Lexington Podiatry medical team, with the goal of getting everyone walking and standing pain free!
